Department of Law of DIU Library grew over the years since 2007. This is a university library where Library of Congress Classification System is being used to organize and arrange books, journals and other resources, so that items on the same or related subjects can generally be found together.

The library is housed in the third floor of the DL is fully air-conditioned building. The library can accommodate over 50 students at a time in its well-furbished reading rooms. Students use the library every day.

Opening Hours

DL library maintains 6 days a working week. It opens at 9:00 and remains opened up to 4:00p.m. It remains closed on public holidays and other dates announced by the University authorities.

Members

All students, faculties, BOG members, officers, teaching assistants, research assistants and faculty assistants are entitled to become library member.

Collections

Currently the library possesses over 1108 books, 238 bound journals and magazine. Most of the leading national dailies published from Dhaka. In addition to this, the library also ensures easy access to the Internet for the users to browse, download.

Services

All services of the library are free of cost. Currently, the services available in the library include borrowing and circulation service, internet service, reading room service, news clipping service, current awareness service, reprography service etc. The library also arranges orientation program every semester for the new students to demonstrate how to use the university library systems and services.
